In addition to her responsibilities at the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy, Dr. Parker also practices part-time as a clinical pharmacist in the Health Management Group at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. There, she works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary group of health professionals to provide patients with medication therapy management services. Her practice interests include improving health outcomes and medication adherence in endocrinology and cardiology populations.
Dr. Parker served in a similar role at Blanchard Valley Medical Associates in Findlay, Ohio, from 2006-2012, and is the former Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at Physicians Inc., in Lima, Ohio, where she directed multiple disease state management clinics, including diabetes, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and anticoagulation clinics. She has specialty training as a certified anticoagulation provider, a certified diabetes educator, a clinical lipid specialist and is also a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
Dr. Parker is dedicated to inspiring pharmacy students to practice collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in order to take the best possible care of patients.
