Each professional year has associated experiential learning requirements embedded within it, and during the fourth professional year, student learning is scheduled in various pharmacy settings. Efforts will be made to place distance learners within one hour of their home address for their experiential learning. If this is not possible, the student could be required to complete an experiential learning rotation with the program’s Ohio-based experiential education network. Housing and transportation to and from experiential sites throughout the educational experience will be at the student’s expense.

Financial Aid
An education from the University of Findlay is one of the most important investments you can make in your future. Financial aid can help bridge the gap between your resources and the cost of tuition. The Office of Financial Aid works with you every step of the way to develop a customized financial aid plan that meets your needs so you can reach your educational goals.
The University of Findlay offers several kinds of financial support to new and returning students, including merit and endowed scholarships, grants, and loans through federal student aid and the State of Ohio. Students who plan on using financial aid are required to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually. Your FAFSA is used to determine grant and loan amounts to help with the cost of attending college. These funds come from a variety of federal, state, and institutional sources. You should complete the form even if you do not believe you will be eligible for any financial aid.
The University of Findlay uses the FAFSA to award institutional aid, which is more generous than federal and state sources. All students who complete the FAFSA will also qualify for Federal Direct Loans up to an annual limit based on their dependency status and class standing, regardless of credit history.
The Office of Financial Aid will process FAFSA applications for those who applied and were admitted to the University of Findlay. Students who do not require any additional steps will receive a financial aid award. Those who need to take additional steps to complete the process will be assigned “action items.” Prospective students can view their awards or action items through the applicant site. Current and returning students can log into Workday to view their awards or outstanding action items.
Financial Aid Application Process
To be considered for financial aid, you must first file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Findlay’s Federal School Code is 003045. Use this school code to ensure your FAFSA information is accurately transmitted to Findlay.
Points to Remember
- Review the Student Aid Report (SAR) you receive from the U.S. Department of Education. Ensure all required sections are complete and accurate and that you indicated UF's federal school code, 003045. Follow the instructions to make corrections if necessary, and then keep the final SAR for your records.
- Keep a copy of all documents that you submit to the Office of Financial Aid.
- Be certain that you understand the conditions of the awards you accept.
- Advise the Office of Financial Aid immediately if you receive student aid funds from any independent outside source (e.g., private scholarships and grants). A change in your resources may affect your UF financial aid package.
- Remember that you must reapply for financial aid each year. We prefer that you apply for financial aid after October.
