Welcome to the College of Pharmacy

As Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Findlay, I am so pleased you are interested in the Distance Doctor of Pharmacy (Distance PharmD) program. Findlay is ideally positioned as a leader in the education of pharmacists. Our mission is to prepare pharmacists to be dedicated to improving patients’ lives through practice, service, and research.

Our program fully prepares you for licensure as an accomplished pharmacist who can improve the quality of life for patients in your community. Some of our graduates pursue roles in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, or private and public sectors where they impact the development of new medications and drug therapies.

At Findlay, we value innovation in teaching methods, practical learning experiences, intellectual curiosity, life-long learning, and professional leadership, alongside the personal qualities of honesty, integrity, and respect. Our program is designed to encourage collaboration with one another to get the very most out of your learning experience with us.

Experiential learning is an essential part of our program. We believe that continual exposure to a variety of patient care settings and research opportunities complements online coursework and provides the optimal learning experience. Findlay’s unique Distance PharmD blends the convenience of online didactic coursework with valuable on-campus immersions and experiential learning in your community to prepare you for licensure.

You have chosen a great time to pursue your doctoral degree in pharmacy. Healthcare careers are booming, and pharmacists are essential to a well-rounded healthcare team. As a pharmacist, you will have the opportunity to touch countless patients' lives and impact the future of pharmacy. We are delighted to be a part of your journey.
