PROFILE

Dr. Mills graduated with her PharmD degree from Ohio Northern University in 2018. She then completed a one-year pharmacy practice residency at Lima Memorial Health System. During this time, Dr. Mills earned a teaching certificate from Ohio Northern University.

At the University of Findlay, Dr. Mills coordinates the self-care/nonprescription products course and the endocrinology course, as well as teaches various therapeutics topics and assists in pharmacy practice skills labs. She has also coordinated an elective course focused on pharmacy residency preparation.

Dr. Mills maintains an active practice site by working as a pharmacist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio, an inpatient rehabilitation facility in Dayton, OH. Here, she cares for patients receiving stroke, neurological, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic rehabilitation.

Dr. Mills has served on national, state, regional, university, and college levels. Of note, she has served on committees for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Self-Care Therapeutics (SCT)/Nonprescription Medicines (NM) Special Interest Group (SIG) and a 3-year Presidential term for the West Central Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacy (WCOSHP). She is currently the CPHM Faculty President and served as the AACP Delegate during 2023–2024. Dr. Mills coordinates the UF Residency Teaching & Learning Certificate Program for PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents, advises the OPA OTC/Self-Care Challenge student group for UF, and co-advises the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honorary Society chapter at UF. Her research interests include self-care and nonprescription medication use, the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), pharmacy residency training, and inpatient pharmacy policy and procedure.

Dr. Mills is committed to serving the institution and profession of pharmacy. Through her teaching, scholarship, and service, she is dedicated to instilling her passion for pharmacy practice, safe medication use, and optimal patient care in students.
